MATHOBOTICS - DAY 1

We started MATHOBOTICS class by watching this video:

We learned about what engineering is and the Design Process:

 Each day will feature an exciting Engineering Challenge!  Today's Challenge was the Skyscraper Challenge! How tall can you build a skyscraper? They had a limited amount of resources in their project boxes to construct a skyscraper.

Let's see how the girls did!

The girls will continue to test and improve this project throughout the week.

In this class girls will learn:

New way to solve problems.

To take steps to solve problems.

The basic foundation engineers use...

To work on collaborative team work skills  

To ask, imagine, plan create....

That there is more than 1 way to solve a problem.

Think deeply about solutions.

to combine ideas.

To Use Problem Solving and thinking skills that can be used in many areas of their own lives.

In this class we "Think outside the box."
