The girls have enjoyed hearing fables and are great about identifying the morals.
On Friday, each of the student learned which part she has in the play.
Copies were sent home on Friday. Please help your daughter rehearse her part(s) at home.
Working on Fable Books
We work on reading and writing skills daily and on
Wednesdays each student works on a specific academic area to keep skills sharp over the summer.
The girls are working hard... but are having so much fun!
Baby Quail Watching (as small as a nickel)
Cuddles - Quail #2
Crow and the Pitcher Fable Experiment with Water Displacement
This Musical Theatre Class focuses on creating the set!
Here the girls are using paper mache to create a tree!
It was messy but fun! Looking Good!
Trunks almost done.
Using Our Imaginations Exercise
Quail #1 (Sleepy) RIP - Thursday
Quail #2 (Cuddles) RIP - Saturday
Quail #3 (Mrs. B had to help it hatch. It was stuck in the egg and was born with clubbed feet.)
We named it Squirt. It probably will not make it for very long, but at least it is not stuck in the shell.
In the meantime, it gets lots of TLC.
All of the quail that have hatched have been in very poor health...most likely due to the mom quail (Snowdrop) being so young. She is only 2 months old! We have also only had Snowdrop for a month so we don't know how healthy she was prior to us adopting her from the Pet Store.
We are going to give Snowdrop a few more months to mature and to become more healthy before trying to hatch another batch of eggs.
She is obviously not laying healthy eggs.
The girls have enjoyed seeing the little chicks hatch and have learned a lot about the life cycle of quail chicks.
It has been very sad to have them live for only 3-4 days.
We have a bunch of caterpillar that have hatched in our garden.
So the life cycle continues on with ends and beginnings...
Week 2 will be a short one with school being closed on Thursday and Friday for the 4th of July.
